The ICAK is the primary facilitator between Korean contractors and government, voicing their concerns and
needs regarding government policies. It also facilitates government action to speak for the contractors'
interests in bilateral and multilateral government joint committees.
Staying connected to trends and interests in the industry, an overseas construction forum and a private-public
joint committee meetings are regularly held.
In 2005, the Overseas Construction Day was established, enhancing mutual friendship between contractors and
government as well as rewarding people who made meritorious contributions to the development of the industry.
