The ICAK serves as the principal liaison between Korean contractors and the government,
representing their concerns and needs regarding government policies.
It also facilitates government action to advocate for contractors’ interests
through participation in bilateral and multilateral joint committees.
To stay aligned with trends and developments in the construction industry,
ICAK regularly holds overseas construction forums and public–private joint meetings,
including the GICC (Global Infrastructure Cooperation Conference).
In 2005, Overseas Construction Day was established to strengthen mutual cooperation between the government and contractors
and to recognize individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the advancement of the industry.
