Project Appraisal & Risk Management
The ICAK conducts project appraisals and prepares reports at the request of financial institutions to
support bond issuance and fund-raising for Korean contractors.
This enables financial institutions to invest in profitable projects and
helps Korean contractors implement their projects successfully.
The association has conducted a comprehensive study of the risks that may arise during overseas construction activities.
As a result, an online risk management system has been developed and made available to member companies.
Risk management capacity has been strengthened by organizing human resources specialized by work classification
and construction management functions.
The ICAK also plays a vital role in supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)
by coordinating bond issuance in cooperation with financial institutions.
Finally, it serves to promote the overseas construction industry and
to encourage the sound development of its member companies.
